Studi Gender: Perempuan dalam Pemikiran Murthada Muthahhari

Abstract

Women have a great role for human life. The existence of women is also highly appreciated in Islam. After the arrival of Islam, women were enforced with special. Their rights such as the right of life, the right of freedom, the right to be married, even the right to play a social economy has been opened even in a narrow scale. This is because Islam develops slowly to straighten out the tradition and social culture of Arabia but its development is very progressive and sustainable. The issue of women as "second human" has become a tradition that is difficult to eliminate. Men are identified with strength and freedom while women are didentikkan with weak nature and are only served in the home. With the stigma, there arose a variety of voices that crystallized into various movements such as the gender equality movement. The discussion about women with a central role is very interesting to be lifted and examined more deeply through the thought of Murthada Muthahhari who is a multi-disciplinary figure who mastered the science of philosophy, logic, Fiqh and theology. By conducting the study of facts, historical reality, social, cost and religious practices in general, the approach by Murtadha Muthahhari in reviewing feminism in this regard, he realized that Western and eastern feminism was Different studies that he undertook categoristic autonomy by defining feminism, religion (Islam), women's rights, and concepts related to the study. Murthada Muthahhari reminds of the study of feminism so as not to be trapped in a "westernization mesh" with the theme of "Renewal of women". Western cultural, social, and political lines should be observed so that feminism studies do not end up from the intact Islamic spirit.  His thoughts are very plural but stick to the principle of Islamic law.
