Pengaruh Broken Home Terhadap Anak
Abstract
This paper aims to explain the factors for the occurrence of broken home, their impact on children, the role of counsellors in dealing with broken homes, and how to prevent or avoid the occurrence of broken homes. The method used in this paper is descriptive qualitative to analyse the phenomena that has occurred in broken home families. Every husband and wife always hopes that their marriage relationship lasts until the end of life. However, in fact, there are still divorces in husband and wife relationships, resulting in a broken home. The impact of a broken home can be felt by children and their families. As a result, their children’s education is sometimes not obtained properly and even drops out of school. Psychologically, children feels disappointed, sad, depressed, and selfish. Sociologically, sometimes the association of children becomes free. In solving this problem, one of the efforts is the importance of the counsellor’s role in coping with children’s problem as a result of a broken home family. This paper concludes that the role of parents in family is very important to build family harmony. Unless parents are able to play a role properly, it is possible that sooner or later the family will apart.
