BRAINWASHING SCHEMES AMONG ADOLESCENTS WITH RADICAL POTENTIAL THROUGH STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

This study aims to examine the psychological aspects of brainwashing schemes among adolescents with radical potential within student organizations at University X. Adolescence is a period of contradictions, where psychological stability is often fragile, and emotions can be difficult to control. This instability can lead to behaviors that undermine national unity, as evidenced by the growing tendency of youth toward religious radicalism. According to data from Babel Review (2019), based on a 2017 survey by the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), the Bangka Belitung Islands Province ranks fifth nationally in radicalism potential within educational settings. The rise of religious radicalism is often rooted in fragmented religious understanding, misinterpretation of religious texts, and political and economic deprivation, as noted by Azyumardi Azra. This study employs a qualitative methodology to explore the internal cadre training processes within radical organizations, particularly focusing on the brainwashing techniques used in recruiting new members. The findings reveal that these brainwashing practices are systematically and structurally implemented within such organizations, posing a serious threat to social harmony and national unity. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the radicalization process among adolescents and provides insights into more effective preventive strategies through educational and psychological interventions.

This research delves into a comprehensive exploration of the dynamics between Islām and modern civilization when viewed through the concept of Alternative Modernities . With the aim of deeply understanding the influence of Islām in the modern world, uncovering the challenges faced by Islām in the contemporary era, and exploring fresh ideas within Islāmic thought related to modernity. Qualitative approaches and literature research are employed to delve into the perspectives of prominent figures such as Nurcholish Madjid, Muhammad Iqbal, and Fazlur Rahman. The findings of this research document the monumental contributions of Islām in politics, economics, and science within modern civilization. However, amidst the tumult of globalization, complex challenges arise, such as controversial interpretations of religious teachings and intense debates on social issues and human rights. Within the framework of Alternative Modernities, Islām offers a perspective of modernity that is not only scientific but also reflects moral values while maintaining the authenticity of religious identity. Reforming Islāmic thought and practices, including creatively adapting to culture and harmoniously integrating religious values with the demands of modernity, become crucial elements in this discussion. This research not only provides profound insights but also enlivens the complexity of the relationship between Islām and modern civilization by recognizing cultural diversity and understanding modernity through a fresh and contextual alternative perspective.

HARMONI BERAGAMA : MODEL DAKWAH MULTIKULTURAL UNTUK MEMBANGUN PERDAMAIAN DI NUSANTARA

Keberagaman agama di Nusantara dapat menimbulkan konflik dan ketegangan antar komunitas. Penelitian ini fokus pada pentingnya membangun harmoni dan perdamaian di tengah masyarakat dengan kepercayaan yang beragam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model dakwah multikultural yang efektif untuk membentuk harmoni beragama dan memberikan kontribusi dalam membangun perdamaian di Nusantara. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan sejarah melibatkan empat tahap: heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberagaman keberagamaan di Nusantara mencerminkan kekayaan wilayah tersebut, tetapi juga dihadapkan pada tantangan seperti konflik, radikalisme, dan kekerasan berbasis agama. Model dakwah multikultural dapat dibagi menjadi pola-pola tertentu, termasuk dialog dekulturatif, dialog akulturasi aditif, dialog akulturasi pertimbangan, dan dialog akulturasi kelembagaan inklusif. Penerapan model ini dalam upaya membangun perdamaian di Nusantara disesuaikan dengan faktor penyebab yang ada.

KONSTRUKSI REALITAS PEMBERITAAN WACANA SYIAH PADA MEDIA ONLINE ORMAS SYIAH INDONESIA

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the construction of Shia discourse published in the official online media of Indonesian Shia mass organizations and how Shia media can survive amidst the siege of Sunni mainstream media in Indonesia. This research stems from the background of Shiites as a minority in Indonesia and the massive anti-Shia propaganda campaign created by sunni conservative groups. This is a qualitative research using content analysis methodology. This article used Ibn Hamad's media and reality construction theory and Erving Goffman's stigma theory. Using these theories the author found; first, referring to media and reality construction theory, it was found that the construction of Shia discourse in Indonesian Shia online media tends to display the language symbols of "peace", “pluralism”, “religious moderation”, "brotherhood" and "nationalism". This discourse has implications for the image of Indonesian Shiites who are not heretical and appear to be actively voicing a religious moderation attitude. Second, referring to stigma theory, Shia online media is adaptive to mainstream Sunni media issues to gain formal or moral recognition in front of the majority of Indonesian Sunni Muslims. Furthermore, this article will open further research related to the survival of minorities as well as related to the cyber media issue for religious mass organizations in Indonesia.

Abstrak

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi pemberitaan wacana syiah yang dimuat dalam media-media online resmi ormas syiah Indonesia serta bagaimana media syiah dapat survive di tengah kepungan media mainstream sunni di Indonesia. Penelitian ini Berangkat dari latar belakang syiah sebagai kaum minoritas di Indonesia dan masifnya gerakan propaganda kampanye anti syiah di media-media online. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yakni berupa konten analisis. Adapun teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori media dan konstruksi realitas Ibnu Hamad dan teori stigma Erving Goffman. Melalui teori tersebut penulis menemukan beberapa temuan. Pertama, mengacu pada teori media dan konstruksi realitas, ditemukan bahwa kontruksi wacana syiah dalam media online syiah Indonesia cenderung menampilkan simbol-simbol bahasa “perdamaian”, “pluralism”, “moderasi agama”, “persaudaraan”, dan “nasionalisme”. Wacana tersebut berimplikasi terhadap citra syiah Indonesia yang tidak sesat dan nampak aktif menyuarakan sikap moderasi agama. Kedua, mengacu kepada teori stigma, media online syiah adaptif terhadap isu-isu mainstream media sunni dengan tujuan mendapatkan pengakuan secara formal ataupun moral di hadapan mayoritas muslim sunni Indonesia. Lebih lanjut artikel ini akan membuka penelitian lebih jauh terkait survival kaum minoritas serta terkait isu media ciber ormas kegamaan di Indonesia.

PENINGKATAN KUALITAS LAYANAN AKADEMIK DALAM MENDUKUNG TRANSFORMASI PTKIN

The quality of academic services at a university is a very important factor in determining the comfort for students in taking courses in higher education, whether or not academic services will also determine the level of accreditation of the university. In some literature, it shows that higher education today has become a highly competitive market where students generally look for campuses that have quality education systems and services in supporting lectures at universities as a place of education. The extent of service innovation carried out by educational institutions in supporting the transformation that has been carried out will greatly affect the quality of students and the quality of education in Higher Education including Islamic Higher Education. This research was conducted using interview methods, surveys, statistical data analysis, and in-depth documentation studies at PTKIN, this writing can provide valuable insights into the relationship between improving the quality of academic services and the transformation of State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) that has been carried out.

A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW STUDY ON DA'WAH AND ISLAMIC ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Da'wah should encompass not just teachings on worship but also the promotion and education of the Islamic economy. These two fields should enhance and reinforce one another. This study aims to examine the influence of da'wah on the development of the Islamic economy, as well as the reciprocal impact of the Islamic economy on the dissemination of sharia values. A total of 513 papers, comprising 500 from Google Scholar and 13 from Scopus, underwent screening, eligibility evaluation, and quality rating in this study. The research methodology employed is qualitative, utilizing a systematic literature review approach following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocols (PRISMA-P) guidelines. The study's findings indicate that da'wah and economic empowerment are mutually reinforcing, contributing to Muslims' economic self-sufficiency and long-term viability. The propagation of da'wah by da'i, encompassing information on Islamic economics, can elevate societal literacy and catalyze advancing the empowerment of the Islamic economy. Similarly, the Islamic economy, encompassing halal tourism and Islamic financial products, functions as a means of da'wah to facilitate mua'malah transactions by Sharia principles.

THE DYNAMICS OF DIGITAL NATIVE COMMUNICATION BEHAVIOUR IN PESANTREN COMMUNITIES IN EAST LOMBOK

The presence of digitalization in addition to supporting learning also has bad consequences when used disproportionately. The Covid-19 phenomenon requires students to use digitalization as an online learning medium. The existence of pesantren habitus with the dynamics of student media behavior is an interesting thing to discuss in this research which uses qualitative methods through case studies in several madrasahhs in the pesantren environment in East Lombok. The result of the study is that the behavioral dynamics that occur in students as digital natives are micro dynamics with the majority guided by values and norms in Pesantrens although some of them experience behavioral and communication dynamics due to the use of media including youtube and online games such as the use of slang language that is not in accordance with the habits of pesantren. Including as a positive and negative impact of media consumption.

The emergence of the phenomenon of inclusive da'wah in the era of globalization has triggered a harsh da'wah model and using religion as fiqh siyasah makes preachers in the current era tend to be easy to claim heresy and provocation. The focus of this research is to answer the concept of the KH. Marzuki Mustamar da'wah trilogy. Marzuki Mustamar and his contribution as an effort to maintain the welfare of the people through the moral message of da'wah conveyed. The type of research used in this study is a type of qualitative research with library research methods and approaches related to the theory of washi lah da'wah about the concept of moderate da'wah. The results of this study state that the welfare of the people can be built through the cultivation of the concept of Ahlu al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama>'ah creed and love for the homeland and acculturation between religion and local culture of the community, which in its values means that first, religion must be based on principles in a middle line (moderate); Second, the cultivation of the spirit of nationalism and tolerance between religious communities; third, concern for the preservation of local culture within the community. This research is expected to be able to answer the problems of the integrity of the people and be able to contribute to the empowerment of the people through the way of da'wah.

Dakwah Partisipatoris Untuk Transformasi Sosial : Diskursus Manajemen Dakwah Dalam Perspektif Sosiologi-Pengetahuan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi dakwah partisipatoris yang dilakukan oleh Pondok Pesantren Nurul Haromain, kaitannya dengan pengembangan skill santri sebagai da’i dan pelaksanaannya di masyarakat dalam upaya mengubah tatanan sosial melalui Program Amal Bakti Santri. Berjenis penelitian studi lapangan, penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasilnya, Pondok Pesantren Nurul Haromain memiliki misi sebagai pesantren berbasis dakwah yang mengembangkan kompetensi da’i sebagai capaian pembelajarannya dan Program Amal Bakti Santri sebagai praktek pembelajaran dakwah sekaligus proses dakwah partisipatoris di masyarakat. Program ini dilakukan secara sistematis melalui strategi dan aplikasi fungsi manajemen serta memilliki implikasi berupa transformasi sosial yang terjadi dengan mendialogkan pengetahuan santri sebagai agen perubahan dan masyarakat, dengan harapan keberlanjutan dakwah juga dijaga dalam upaya mempertahankan tatanan sosial yang madani.

The Paradigm of Islamic Prophetic Thought Perspective of Kuntowijoyo and Musa Asy'arie

Abstract

In Islam, a very well-known adage appears that the Qur'an will always be relevant to be applied at any time and place, shalih li kulli zaman wa makan. Departing from this adage, Muslim scientists from the classical era to today's contemporary era, always try to make contextual interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an so that the messages remain relevant in addressing every societal need according to their respective space and time. respectively. This was done by two Indonesian Muslim scholars, namely Kuntowijoyo and Musa Asy'arie. Both Kuntowijoyo and Musa Asy'arie share the same scientific commitment, namely responding to the challenges of the times by returning to the fundamental Islamic doctrines contained in the Qur'an. The two scholars carry a re-reading of the Islamic religion, especially the Qur'an, with a prophetic spirit or paradigm. This article discusses the prophetic thoughts of Islam Kuntowijoyo and Musa Asy'arie as well as the similarities and differences between the two by using contextualist, historical, and philosophical critical approaches.
