This assessment reflects the attitude of approval or disapproval towards oneself and indicates the extent to which an individual believes they are capable, valuable, successful, and worthy. Low self-esteem can make it difficult for students to evaluate and assess themselves. This issue is observed among some 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Sungaiselan, where students exhibit low confidence, such as being afraid or shy to express opinions, having difficulty refusing requests, and struggling to say "no." To address this problem, efforts are needed to improve self-esteem through group counseling with assertive training techniques. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling using assertive training techniques in improving the self-esteem of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Sungaiselan. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a nonequivalent control group design. Two groups were involved: an experimental group and a control group, both of which underwent pretests and posttests. Data collection was carried out through observation, documentation, and self-esteem questionnaires. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 16 students divided into two groups: 8 students in the experimental group and 8 students in the control group. The hypothesis testing results using the Independent Sample T-Test in SPSS 25 showed that the significance value (sig 2-tailed) was smaller than 0.005 (0.001 &lt; 0.005), indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Additionally, the gain score of the experimental group was higher than the average gain score of the control group (9.57 &gt; 5.11). This research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The sample for this study was selected using purposive sampling techniques, with a total of 10 students exhibiting high levels of academic stress. In the data processing stage, raw scores were used, derived from calculations based on the Rasch model. The data collection technique employed in this study was an academic stress questionnaire modified from Gadzella's Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI). The method used for hypothesis testing was a paired sample t-test. Based on the results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test, the obtained Ttable value was 2.262 and the Tstat value was 27.463, meaning Ttable &lt; Tstat. Additionally, the Sig. (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05, specifically 0.000. The results of the paired sample t-test indicated a significant change before and after the intervention. Thus, it can be concluded that group counseling services using the self-instruction technique are effective in reducing academic stress among students of SMA Negeri 4 PangkalPinang.</p> Nurul Wasilah ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2024-10-01 2024-10-01 5 2 42 49 10.32923/ijoce.v5i2.4958 Pengaruh Konseling Kelompok Terhadap Penurunan Perilaku Membolos https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/index.php/IJoCE/article/view/4959 <p>Perilaku membolos dapat diartikan sebagai perilaku peserta didik yang tidak masuk sekolah dengan alasan yang tidak tepat atau ketidakadiran tanpa alasan yang jelas. Peserta didik seringkali melakukan tindakan perilaku membolos disebabkan karena tidak menyukai guru mata pelajaran pada saat proses pembelajaran sedang berlangsung dan juga peserta didik belum mengerjakan tugas oleh guru yang bersangkutan dan peserta didik yang berangkat dari sekolah namun peserta didik tidak sampai dilingkungan sekolah. Melihat dari hasil <em>pretes</em> perilaku membolos pada peserta didik bahwa tindakan perilaku membolos peserta didik sangatlah tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok terhadap penurunan perilaku membolos peserta didik SMK Negeri 1 Mendo Barat.</p> <p>Peneilitian ini menggunkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen dalam bentuk desian <em>pre-eksperimental desain</em> dengan tipe <em>one gruop pretest-postest.</em> Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan uji nirmalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji <em>N-gain </em>dengan bantuan SPSS versi 25.</p> <p>Setelah dilakukannya penelitian dan hasil dari teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 25 didapatkan bahwa tingkat perilaku membolos peserta didik sebelum diberikan perlakuan atau <em>pretes</em> yakni dikategorikan tinggi yaitu 96,33 sedangkan tingkat perilaku membolos peserta didik setelah diberikan perlakuan atau <em>postest</em> dikategorikan rendah yaitu 59,33. Sedangkan hasil dari hioptesis yaitu sig (<em>2-tailed</em>) 0,000 atau dapat dikatakan nilai sig (<em>2-tailed</em>) 0,000 &lt; 0,05 maka H<sub>O</sub> ditolak dan H<sub>a</sub> diterima, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa konseling kelompok berpengaruh terhadap penuruanan perilaku membolos terdapat penurunan perilaku membolos peserta didik SMK Negeri 1 Mendo Barat.</p> Lora Lestari Komariah Komariah ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2024-10-01 2024-10-01 5 2 50 55 10.32923/ijoce.v5i2.4959 Pengaruh Ekonomi Keluarga terhadap Pemilihan Karir https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/index.php/IJoCE/article/view/4960 <p>Pemilihan karir peserta didik harus sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki. Faktor eksternal yang dapat mempengaruhi pemilihan karir yaitu status ekonomi keluarga. Dengan hal ini peserta didik belum bisa menentukan perencanaan pemilihan karirnya karena beranggapan orang tuanya tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan kuliah, namun ada juga yang bisa menentukan pilihan karirnya akan tetapi dilarang orang tua dan ada juga yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi tetapi terhambat dengan keadaan ekonomi keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekonomi keluarga terhadap pemilihan karir peserta kelas XII di SMA Negeri 1 Puding Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif metode asosiatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner (angket) dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa besarnya pengaruh ekonomi keluarga terhadap pemilihan karir peserta didik sebesar 3,2%, dimana nilai dari R square atau nilai koefisien determinasinya adalah 0,032 yang dibulatkan menjadi 3,2%, dan tidak terdapat pengaruh antara variabel ekonomi keluarga terhadap variabel pemilihan karir. Artinya tidak terdapat pengaruh anatara ekonomi keluarga terhadap pemilihan karir peserta didik kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Puding Besar.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p> <p>Student career selection must be in accordance with their abilities. External factors that can influence career choice are family economic status. With this, students cannot determine their career choice planning because they think that their parents are unable to meet college needs, but there are also those who can determine their career choices but are prohibited by their parents and there are also those who want to continue higher education but are hampered by the family's economic situation. . The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the family economy on the career choices of class XII participants at SMA Negeri 1 Puding Besar. This study uses a type of associative quantitative research method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire) and documentation. The results showed that the magnitude of the influence of the family economy on students' career choices was 3.2%, where the value of R square or the value of the coefficient of determination was 0.032 which was rounded up to 3.2%, and there was no influence between family economic variables on career selection variables. . In the era modernization as it is today, learning is no longer a routine students like it. This is because there are many things that go into it. students feel lazy or bored when studying, for example requires concentration, time and energy expended, feelings as well as coercion to abandon various activities un compared to studying, like playing cellphones, games online, or other activities whether positive or negative comes from the surrounding environment. However, the most basic of. The problem when studying is that it requires concentration. Students are required to remain concentrated until the lesson is finished. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of information services for increasing students' learning concentration at SMA Negeri 1 Jebus The population was 97 people while the sample was 10 person. This research focuses on the level of learning concentration students before and after being provided with information services.Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires and documentation. &nbsp;The data analysis technique used is the T test. The results of the study showed a change in level students' learning concentration in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Jebus. This research provides meaning that through participant information services Students can have better learning concentration. Conclusion proven through the results of hypothesis calculations which show that tcount is greater than ttable, namely 17.860 &gt; 2.228 which is acceptable at a significance level of 5%. This shows that the hypothesis is taken by researchers has been proven to be true.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Abstak</p> <p>Permasalahan yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini Pada era modernisasi seperti sekarang ini, belajar tidak lagi menjadi rutinitas yang disukai peserta didik. Ini dikarenakan ada banyak hal yang membuat peserta didik merasa malas maupun jenuh ketika belajar, seperti membutuhkan konsentrasi, waktu serta tenaga yang dikeluarkan, perasaan maupun paksaan untuk meninggalkan berbagai kegiatan yang lebih menyenangkan dibandingkan dengan belajar, seperti bermain ponsel, game online, ataupun kegiatan lain baik yang bersifat positif atau negatif yang berasal dari lingkungan sekitar. Akan tetapi, yang paling mendasar dari permasalahan ketika belajar yakni membutuhkan konsentrasi belajar. Peserta didik dituntut untuk tetap berkonsentrasi hingga pelajaran selesai..</p> <p>Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mengetahui efektifitas layanan informasi untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 JebusPopulasi berjumlah 97 orang sedangkan sampel sebanyak 10 orang. Dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada tingkat konsentrasi belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah diberikan layananan informasi dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa obervasi, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan tingkat konsentrasi belajar peserta didik di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Jebus. Penelitian ini memberikan makna bahwa melalui layanan infomasi peserta didik dapat memiliki konsentrasi belajar yang lebih baik. Kesimpulan dibuktikan melalui hasil perhitungan hipotesis yang menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 17,860 &gt;2,228 yang dapat diterima pada taraf signifikan 5%.
