However, this development also comes with an increasing prevalence of copyright violations against da'wah content, largely due to weak regulations and insufficient oversight. This study aims to analyze copyright regulations in the media industry, particularly concerning Islamic content, and to identify the challenges faced by creators in producing and distributing their work. Using a library research method, the study finds that current copyright laws still have gaps in protecting Islamic content, both in terms of unauthorized use and restrictions imposed by social media algorithms. Other challenges faced by creators include the risk of false copyright claims, competition with more popular content, and dilemmas related to monetizing da'wah content. Therefore, this study proposes alternative copyright protection mechanisms such as the implementation of open licenses (Creative Commons), blockchain technology, digital watermarking, and the categorization of Islamic content on digital platforms. Collaboration between the government, media platforms, content creators, and Islamic organizations is a key factor in ensuring copyright regulations are enforced effectively without hindering digital da'wah. With more adaptive protection mechanisms, Islamic content can continue to grow as a high-quality medium for education and da'wah while respecting the intellectual property rights of its creators.
Muchammad Mustofa Algholayani, Nikmah Hadiati Salisah Copyright (c) 2025 Muchammad Mustofa Algholayani, Nikmah Hadiati Salisah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5620 Thu, 08 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 THE ROLE OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM IN UNCOVERING CYBERCRIME: A CRIMINOLOGICAL AND SHARIA LAW ANALYSIS https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5944
This study aims to analyze the role of investigative journalism in uncovering cybercrime using a literature approach that integrates criminology and sharia law perspectives. The study uses a qualitative-descriptive literature study method with data collected from academic journals, books on communication theory, media ethics, cybercriminology, and Islamic law literature. The results show that investigative journalism has a strategic function as a social control that can uncover hidden cybercrime practices, encourage transparency, accountability, and policy reform. The criminology perspective provides an understanding of the dynamics of criminal behavior and its preventive function, while sharia law emphasizes the principles of justice, ethics, and victim recovery in cyber law enforcement. The integration of these two perspectives builds an ethical framework for cyber journalism that is responsible, fair, and professional. This study recommends strengthening the capacity of investigative journalists through technology and legal training and the development of regulations that accommodate positive legal aspects and sharia values to face the challenges of digital crime effectively and sustainably.
Abdul Rahman Ashidiq, Arifah Copyright (c) 2025 Abdul Rahman Ashidiq http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5944 Mon, 12 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND HARASSMENT IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS (PONDOK PESANTREN) IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF INDONESIAN MEDIA DISCOURSE https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5908
This research started from the problem of reporting about cases of violen and sexual harassment in Islamic boarding schools which were highlighted by the mass media which gave rise to various negative opinions from the public towards Islamic boarding schools. The method used is a qualitative method of critical discourse analysis using Teun A. Van Dijk’s theory. The research results show that the kompas.com media generally emphasizes the issues of sexsual harassment committed by Islamic boarding school leaders, the news is more dominant about the actions taken by several individuals in handling and disclosing the case. Meanwhile, on kumparan.com media, reports questioned the performance, seriousness and understanding of the ministry of religion regarding the rise in cases of abuse in Islamic boarding schools. The news text further explains the many cases of sexual abuse committed by Islamic boarding school leaders or caregivers at Islamic boarding schools.

Keywords: Sexsual Harrasment, Islamic Boarding School, Mass Media, Critical Discourse Analysis
Sekar Putri, Yera Yulista, Achmad Syarifudin Copyright (c) 2025 Sekar Putri http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5908 Wed, 14 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 AIDDA'S PERSUASIVE COMMUNICATION IN PREVENTING INTER-SCHOOL STUDENT FIGHTS: A STUDY AT STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 2 PANGKALPINANG https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5955
Changing a person’s thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors is one of the primary goals of communication. The concept involves intellectual aspects, including beliefs, thoughts, and ideas; while attitudes and behaviors are associated with physical factors, including emotions. Persuasive communication is defined as the ability to touch the heart, evoke shared emotions, and foster liking and acceptance of the conveyed ideas. It is essential to communicate objectives clearly in persuasive communication. Communicators face diverse goals and must pay attention to demographic, occupational, ethnic, social, and other contextual factors. This study employed a qualitative research method, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The research findings show that: 1) Persuasive communication is implemented following the AIDDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Decision, Action) approach. The school has become one of the key instruments in preventing acts of student delinquency. Attention is achieved by providing emotional engagement; Interest is developed through personal approaches that encourage students to participate in positive activities; Desire is fostered by providing positive motivation; Decision involves appointing teachers and students who demonstrate positive behavior as role models, sharing exemplary stories of national heroes and leaders, and organizing mentoring programs by religious scholars and local police to instill positive values that influence students’ decision-making; and Action includes conducting home visits, providing special guidance, and implementing disciplinary measures; 2) The impact includes the school’s use of social and print media as anti-bullying tools by disseminating information about the negative effects of bullying and forming Roots as agents of change within the school. This initiative has fostered a more harmonious school environment, supported by continuous evaluations conducted weekly, monthly, and every semester. As a result, students have become better at managing their emotions, and there have been notable improvements in their attitudes and behaviors, along with a decreasing trend in bullying incidents.
Rizky Noviar Ramadhan, Septiadi Copyright (c) 2025 Septiadi Septiadi http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5955 Fri, 16 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 DA'WAH COMMUNICATION BIL LISAN IN THE FDKI MENGAJI PROGRAM OF IAIN SYAIKH ABDURRAHMAN SIDDIK BANGKA BELITUNG https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5913
The implementation of da'wah (Islamic preaching) in the campus environment aims to develop spiritual values based on content and media. Activities are carried out in the form of religious, social, and community-based events. Da'wah institutions can grow effectively when strengthened by a sense of responsibility and loyalty from the institution’s management. However, challenges commonly faced by da'wah institutions include limited social outreach, lack of funding, and a small number of active members involved in the management. This research aims to describe verbal da'wah communication (da'wah bil lisan) in the "FDKI Mengaji" program at IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung. This study uses a qualitative method with primary data sources from the managers of the FDKI Mengaji program at IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. Verbal da'wah communication in the FDKI Mengaji Program at IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung is conducted through direct sermons delivered by two preachers simultaneously, which has successfully attracted public enthusiasm to attend the da'wah events. The FDKI Mengaji program also benefits from strong mutual support among its managers, fostered through a sense of togetherness and a solid commitment. This verbal da'wah also serves as a form of community service in each program. The form of da'wah bil lisan used is adapted to the needs of the community and represents the sole officially mandated da'wah program by IAIN Syaikh Abdurrahman Siddik Bangka Belitung.
Pani Azfa, Amrullah, Iqrom Faldiansyah, Gustin Copyright (c) 2025 Pani Azfa http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5913 Thu, 22 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 THE ROLE OF GROUP COMMUNICATION IN COLLABORATIVE LEARNING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION https://jurnal.lp2msasbabel.ac.id/MEDIO/article/view/5943
Collaborative learning in physical education emphasizes cooperation among students to achieve common goals through structured physical activity.
